"Signature of Diversity" कला प्रदर्शनी का शुभारम्भ दिल्ली में

दिल्ली के इंडिया हैबिटेट सेंटर स्थित विज़ुअल कला दीर्घा में "Signature of Diversity" नामक कला प्रदर्शनी का शुभारम्भ पिछले दिनों हुआ।  तीन दिनों तक चलने वाली इस प्रदर्शनी में देश के विभिन्न हिस्सों से कुल 20 कलाकारों की चित्रकला, मूर्तिकला तथा छायाचित्र प्रदर्शित कि गई है। कलाकारों में बिहार से अनिल कुमार सिन्हा, बिनोद कुमार गुप्ता, बिपिन कुमार, मनोज कुमार बच्चन, मदन प्रसाद गुप्ता, रविन्द्र कुमार दास, सुमन कुमार सिंह, के साथ उड़ीसा से आशीष धीर झारखण्ड से सी. आर. हेम्ब्रम, रंजीत कुमार तथा उत्तर प्रदेश से अक्षय चौहान, जय प्रकाश त्रिपाठी प्रमुख है।

इस अवसर पर एक सुन्दर कैटलॉग भी प्रकाशित किया गया। मार्सी आर्ट एंड कल्चर प्राइवेट लिमिटेड द्वारा आयोजित इस प्रदर्शनी का संचालन छायाकार एवं चित्रकार त्रिभुवन देव कर रहे हैं ।

 मीनाक्षी झा बनर्जी के खूबसूरत चित्रों कि प्रदर्शनी इन दिनों दिल्ली की मशहूर कला दीर्घा इंडिया हैबिटेट सेंटर के विजुअल आर्ट गैलरी में चल रही है। पटना की मीनाक्षी ने अपने चित्रों में बहुत हीं खूबसूरती के साथ चटख रंगों का प्रयोग किया है जो कलाकार कि परिपक्वता को जाहिर करता है। उनके चित्रों में मिथिला कला की बारीकियों का बड़े हीं प्रभावपूर्ण तरीके से इस्तेमाल किया गया है। 

12 दिसंबर से शुरू हुई इस प्रदर्शनी को किरण पुंडीर ने क्यूरेट किया है जो 17 दिसंबर तक दर्शकों के लिए खुली रहेगी।

Second edition of Kochi-Muziris Biennale to open on 12-12-2014

Kochi, Dec 12: It’s official. The 2014 edition of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, the country’s pioneering new-art show, will begin on 12-12-2014.

Artist Namboodiri announced the dates for the second edition of India’s only biennale in a function held at Pepper House in Fort Kochi on Thursday evening. The inaugural edition of the epoch-making art carnival had opened at the culturally-rich Fort Kochi on 12-12-2012.

The function paid tributes to the departed South African leader Nelson Mandela with a large inscription at the venue that read “Madiba! We’ll always remember you!”

Mr. Jitish Kallat, Artistic Director and curator of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale 2014, inaugurated the ‘Pepper House Residency’ programme on the occasion. The Residency, which is being conducted in collaboration with Pepper House, is part of the preparations towards the 2014 edition of the international platform for contemporary art.

 MLA Mr. Dominic Presentation presided; Kochi Corporation councillors Mr. K. J. Sohan and Mr.Antony Kureethra; Kochi Biennale Foundation (KBF) trustees including Mr. Bose Krishnamachari, Mr. Hormis Tharakan and Mr. Bonnie Thomas were present at the announcement of the dates for the Kochi-Muziris Biennale 2014. The function began with a musical performance on harmonium by Bhasha Bhai.

Kochi Biennale Foundation representatives pointed out that the Pepper House Art Residency programme will invite artists from all artistic disciplines to live, work, and collaborate during their preferred time of working at Pepper House studio.

The Residency aims to create a dialogue between locals, artists and institutions, offering them an opportunity to establish relationships in the local community while also serving as a platform to explore their creative potentials.

The residency opens with three artists chosen by the KBF -  Avantika Bawa, an Indian artist, academic and curator who is settled in the US, German photographer Anja Bohnhof, who is supported by the Goethe Institute and Keralite painter Leon K.L.

Pepper House will also house artist Bose Krishnamachari’s travelling installation, Laboratory of Visual Arts (LaVA) – a curated collection of over 5,000 books and 1, 800 DVDs on visual arts. The library is free and open to all.

The inaugural edition of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale had showcased works by 89 artists from 23 countries. It saw revelry of different mediums, including painting, sculpture, installation, film, digital media and performing arts at sites in Kochi and the Muziris region. Nearly 400,000 people visited the 96-day show which started on 12/12/12.

Musical Landscapes and the Goddess of Music’ explores Asian music traditions and their divine connections

New Delhi, Nov. 28: Music is “eternal and divine” and has been ascribed with magical qualities, ICCR President Dr. Karan Singh today said, making a strong case for preservation of Asia’s glorious musical traditions.

 

“Exploring music through Goddess Sarasvati and the way it has travelled in various parts of Southeast Asia is quite fascinating and a great joy,” said Dr Singh, while inaugurating an exhibition at National Museum.

A sublime convergence of technology and culture, the pioneering multimedia interactive installation, “Musical Landscapes & The Goddess of Music: Recent Advances in Interactive Art”, explores music in its scientific, artistic and spiritual dimensions and its reflections in the Goddess images across Asian cultures.   

Dr Singh, a member of the Rajya Sabha, complimented the museum and its Director General, Dr Venu V, for organising the pioneering exhibition and thereby breaking away from the traditional structures and entering a new terrain. A Museum is not merely a place for the exhibit of ancient artefacts; it has to be interactive also,” he said.  

“The exhibition takes viewers into the world of exquisite Asian music through electronic installations, digital images, sculptures and recordings of performances by masters,” said Ranjit Makkuni, an internationally acclaimed multimedia designer and accomplished musician who has mounted the innovative art show at the National Museum here. 

“It is an intriguing and fascinating show, combining of art and technology to create an exploration into Asian musical traditions,” said Dr Venu. “The project demonstrates a synthesis of technology and culture, of modern and traditional, of physical and virtual. We believe that National Museum should create spaces for such intersections”, he added.

The exhibition showcases both traditional and new instruments based on Indian Sitar, Burmese Saung Harp, Thai Xylophone, Korean Kayagum, Chinese Guzheng and Pipa, Vietnamese Dan Tranh, Javanese and Balinese Gamelan, and how these instruments have a divine connection. 

The artist has embedded new instruments with computation, allowing viewers to interact through gesture, touch, pull, movement and gaze in the exhibition environment. For instance, there is a sculpture, Abstract Woman. Embedded in the waist of the sculpture is a representation of Sri Yantra, which, upon touch, plays back the 1000 names of Goddess Lalita.

“Through my work, I have tried to demonstrate that it is possible to develop culture-friendly technologies, which can become a vehicle for preserving cultural identity, not replacing it, and how the wisdom of the past can be made accessible to people,” said Makkuni, an alumnus of IIT, Kharagpur and University of California Los Angeles (UCLA).

The exhibition combines visual splendour, aesthetics   and   technology, the attributes that define the work of the multimedia artist. As the director of New Delhi-based e design think tank,   Sacred World Research Laboratory, Makkuni is engaged in pioneering new applications in culturally rooted computing design.    . 

The exhibition comprises several sections, such as Goddesses of Music and their Iconic Transformations; forms and sculptures suggestive of the scientific and mythological imagery of sound; and the compassionate Goddesses who listen to people’s prayers. There are sections on 

Goddess Sarasvati, the goddess of wisdom and music; Kinayi, the Angels of Music, from Burma; and The Compassionate figure of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara from Japan.  There is also a section on Breath, Voice and Healing, which explores the healing properties of singing and its relationship to breath.

 

 “I try to explore innovative ways of building bridges between techno and traditional cultures. I believe engagement with culture is a valuable process to spark off technological innovation. My works show that the wisdom of traditional communities can positively negate the homogenizing aesthetics of modern media technology and help inspire new forms of indigenous information access devices,” said the artist, whose works have been displayed at leading museums and won top international awards for promoting culture, peace and environmental protection.

इन  दिनों दिल्ली की ललित कला अकादमी में उमेश कुमार की एकल कला प्रदर्शनी चल रही है।  इस प्रदर्शनी में उमेश ने अपने एक्रेलिक माध्यम में बने चित्रों के साथ-साथ मिश्रित माध्यम में बनी मूर्तियां ( इंस्टॉलेशन ) भी प्रदर्शित की है।

उमेश ने अपनी कलाकृतियों में शहरों की बढ़ती जनसंख्या से उत्पन्न पानी की समस्या की ओर लोगों का ध्यान खींचने का प्रयास किया है। उनकी कृतियां लोगों को अपनी ओर खींचने के साथ-साथ उन्हें गम्भीरता से सोचने पर विवश करती है।

27 नवम्बर से शुरू हुई इस प्रदर्शनी का समापन 2 दिसम्बर को होगा। 

National Museum to host tech wizard Ranjit Makkuni’s unique multimedia exhibition, ‘Musical Landscapes and the Goddess of Music’

New Delhi, Nov. 26: Bridging technology and culture, a unique multimedia interactive exhibition seeks to unravel the mystique of music by exploring its scientific, artistic and spiritual dimensions and its reflections in the Goddessimages across Asian cultures.   

National Museum is hosting the pioneering exhibition, “Musical Landscapes & The Goddess of Music: Recent Advances in Interactive Art”, mounted by Ranjit Makkuni, a celebrated technical wizard and an accomplished musician. 

Dr Karan Singh, the ICCR President and a Rajya Sabha member, will inaugurate the exhibition on Thursday (November 28). Mr. Ravindra Singh, Secretary, Ministry of Culture, will be the Guest of Honour.

“The exhibition presents advances in interactive art through an exploration of the science, art and spirituality of Music, and its reflections in the Goddessimages across Asian cultures. It provides viewers an opportunity to enter into the world of Asian music through electronic installations, digital images and recordings of performances by maestros,” says Mr. Makkuni, who describes himself as a ‘tactile, interactive and computing designer’.

“Music is essential to the ritual of temples, whether the altar bell, chants or prayers of spiritual seekers or as a sacred precinct for performance. In South and Southeast Asia, the temple may be seen as a buzzing musical instrument,” points out the artist, an alumnus of IIT, Kharagpur and University of California Los Angeles (UCLA).

The exhibition presents both traditional and new instruments based on Indian Sitar, Burmese Saung Harp, Thai Xylophone, Korean Kayagum, Chinese Guzheng and Pipa, Vietnamese Dan Tranh, and Javanese & Balinese Gamelan, among others.

The project demonstrates a perfect synthesis of technology and culture, of modern and traditional, of celestial and mundane, of physical and virtual. Itshows that it is possible to develop culture-friendly technologies and how technology can become a vehicle for preserving cultural identity, not replacing it. 

“The exhibition is exquisite and enthralling. It shows a convergence of culture and computing in a very innovative manner,” said Dr Venu V, Director General, National Museum. “It is a fabulous show of art and culture as well as a research exploration into Asian musical traditions and ancient instruments through modern computing methods.”

कला- मंगल की अगली प्रदर्शनी 14 से

          बिहार ललित कला अकादमी इस वर्ष से बिहार की चाक्षुस कला एवं कलाकारों के उत्थान के लिए एक नियमित रूप से चलने वाली कला गतिविधि के रूप में "कला- मंगल " की शुरुआत कि है जिसकी अगली प्रदर्शनी 14 नवम्बर से स्वयं कि कला दीर्घा ( बहुद्देश्यीय कला परिसर, फ्रेज़र रोड, पटना ) में करने जा रही है।  इसके तहत दो कला रूपों की प्रदर्शनी होगी एक तरफ वरिष्ठ छायाकारों की छायाकृति प्रदर्शित होगी साथ ही युवा मूर्तिकारों कि मूर्तिशिल्प का भी अवलोकन दर्शक कर पाएंगे।  19 नवम्बर  तक होने वाली प्रदर्शनी का उद्घाटन 14 नवम्बर को शाम 4 बजे किया जाएगा।

          इसी गतिविधि के तहत पिछले दिनों वरिष्ठ चित्रकार श्री सुमन मेहता के चित्र तथा रेखाचित्रों की प्रदर्शनी का भी आयोजन किया गया था।

"आर्ट स्टेज सिंगापुर" ने कोच्ची बिनाले फाउन्डेशन के अध्यक्ष तथा सह-संरक्षक तथा कोच्ची-मुजीरिश बिनाले के पहले निदेशक श्री बोस कृष्णामाचारी का नए प्लेटफॉर्म सेक्शन में भारतीय पवेलियन के क्यूरेटर के रूप में चयन किया है।

 "आर्ट स्टेज सिंगापुर" 15जनवरी से 19 जनवरी 2014 तक मैरिनाबे सेंड्स में होगा।

श्री कृष्णामाचारी, जो इन दिनों  कोच्ची-मुजीरिश बिनाले के दुसरे संस्करण की तैयारी में व्यस्त हैं, भारतीय कलाकारों का चयन करेंगे और आयोजकों की भारतीय पवेलियन को डिज़ाइन करने में मदद करेंगे जिसे 'प्लेटफार्म ' नाम दिया गया है। 

श्री कृष्णामाचारी ने बताया , " मैं अनेक भारतीय कलाकारों का काम देखूंगा और उनकी गैलरियों से छः से आठ कृतियों का चयन करूँगा। " इस मेले में नए हिस्से को क्षेत्रीय और देश के प्लेटफॉर्म में विभाजित किया जाएगा जिसमे एशिया- प्रषांत के जाने- माने   और उभरते कलाकारों की शानदार कलाओं का एक हीं जगह पर प्रदर्शन किया जाएगा। प्लेटफॉर्म में दक्षिण एशिया, भारत, चीन, ताइवान, जापान, कोरिया, आस्ट्रेलिया तथा न्यूजीलैंड को शामिल किया गया है।

    दिल्ली की संस्था नव सिद्धार्थ आर्ट ग्रुप पिछले कई वर्षों से विभिन्न कला गतिविधियों को बखूबी अंजाम देती रही है। इसी कड़ी की एक प्रदर्शनी का उद्घाटन आज शाम 6.00  बजे दक्षिणी दिल्ली की कला दीर्घा ग्रीनवुड में होगा। इस प्रदर्शनी में करीब 30 कलाकारों की कृति प्रदर्शित की जाएगी जिनमे उमेश प्रसाद, रागिनी सिन्हा, राजेश चंद, दिनेश कुमार राम, सुरेश कुमार, प्रवीण उपाधे, असुर्वेध, वेद प्रकाश भरद्वाज प्रमुख हैं। 'पीस' शीर्षक की यह प्रदर्शनी इस महीने की 30 तारीख तह चलेगी।            

    

सम्मान समारोह का आयोजन 29 को

दिल्ली की संस्था " भिखारी ठाकुर स्मृति न्यास " इसी महीने की 29 तारीख को दिल्ली के  राजेंद्र भवन में एक सम्मान समारोह तथा लोक सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम का आयोजन करने जा रही है। इस अवसर पर 2013 का " भिखारी ठाकुर स्मृति सम्मान"  लोक कला लेखन के क्षेत्र में युवा कला लेखक  भुनेश्वर भास्कर को दिया जाएगा। इस अवसर पर लोक गायिका बिजली रानी के गायन का खास कार्यक्रम भी प्रस्तुत किया जाएगा।     

छपा कला पर आधारित पुस्तक का विमोचन 28

श्याम शर्मा द्वारा लिखित छपा कला पर आधारित पुस्तक का विमोचन 28 सितम्बर को पटना स्थित कला एवं शिल्प महाविद्द्यालय में होगा।इस अवसर पर उनके  चित्रों की प्रदर्शनी भी लगाईं जाएगी।

India making efforts to bring back stolen artefacts: Salman Khurshid

New Delhi, Sept 19: India will step up its efforts to bring back artefacts that have been illicitly trafficked out of the country, External Affairs Minister, Mr Salman Khurshid, said today.

Smt. Chandresh Kumari Katoch, Hon'ble Minister of Culture and Shri Salman Khurshid, Hon'ble Minister of External Affairs inaugurating the Exhibition "Return of the Yogini" at National Museum in New Delhi today.

Unveiling a 10th-century stone sculpture of the Yogini that was smuggled out of India a quarter century ago and brought back from Paris last month, he said the return of the majestic female deity signalled a major initiative in this direction.

“We should bring back our stolen antiquities. The government will provide all the support in the endeavour,” the minister told reporters at the National Museum where he jointly inaugurated an 18-day exhibition on ‘Return of the Yogini’, along with Union Culture Minister, Mrs Chandresh Kumari Katoch.

“It takes a lot of efforts to ensure the return of pilfered antiquities,” he said, hailing the sustained endeavour of the Indian Embassy in Paris and Delhi’s National Museum, where the 4.5-foot-tall sculpture would be on display till October 6. The event is unique, as it is the first time an Indian museum is holding single-object exhibition.

Mrs Katoch said the return of the Yogini was the first significant step in the recovery of India’s lost artefacts. “We have received information on some objects that can be brought back, but it will need sustained effort from the Indian Missions and the Ministry of Culture” she said.

Earlier, the two ministers were given a detailed presentation on the Yogini, the female representative of India’s mystical cult. National Museum Director-General Dr Venu V, along with curators Anupa Pande and E Dawon, explained to Mr Khurshid and Mrs Katoch the  systematic work that resulted in the return of  the 1100-year-old Vrishanana Yogini, with the buffalo-shaped head, that was stolen from a worn-out temple in a sleepy Lokhari village of Uttar Pradesh.

Vrishanana Yogini, with the buffalo-shaped head, weighs nearly 400 kg, and was illegally trafficked to the French capital, where it was acquired by a private art collector, Robert Schrimpf.  His widow, Mrs. Martine Schrimpf, donated it to the Indian embassy in Paris in 2008. “The artefact was was stolen from the temple recently, certainly after 1986,”  revealed Dr Venu.

The exhibition is intended to create awareness among the people of the country so that they become vigilant about their surroundings and prevent the cultural artefacts from being smuggled into international markets, he added.

India has been losing a large number of antiquities through illicit trafficking in cultural properties.  Many of these end up in the hands of collectors, and even in prominent museums of the world.  The yogini temples, situated in isolated locations, have become easy targets for local theft, which ensures their clandestine passage in the international market. For instance, the yogini sculptures from Kanchipuram are now in leading museums across the world, such as the Nelson Atkins Museum in Kansas City, Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto, Freer-Sackler Gallery of Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C. and the British Museum in London.

नीव में शुरू हुई दो कलाकारों की वृहद कला प्रदर्शनी

नीव आर्ट सेंटर , दिल्ली की एक ऐसी संस्था है जो पिछले कुछ वर्षों से लगातार कला गतिविधियाँ चला रहा है।  जिनमे युवा कलाकारों की रेसीडेंसी तथा प्रदर्शनी , प्रतिष्ठित कलाकारों की प्रदर्शनी , अंतर्राष्ट्रीय रेसीडेंसी  आदि कई कार्यक्रम नीव के द्वारा लगातार संचालित हो रही है।  इसी क्रम में 18 सितम्बर को नेब सराय स्थित कला दीर्घा में दो प्रतिष्ठित कलाकारों की कला प्रदर्शनी का उद्घाटन बड़े ही धूम-धाम से हुआ। प्रदर्शनी के क्यूरेटर हैं राहुल भट्टाचार्या।    

नीचे की दीर्घा में युवा कलाकार अजय नारायण की कृति ने लोगों को काफी प्रभावित किया , एक ऒर कैनवास पर रंगों का संयोजन मन को छू रहा था तो दूसरो ऒर फाइबर ग्लास से बनी दरवाजे और खिड़की के रूप में बनी रंगीन कृतियाँ मन को मोह रही थी।  

जब हम ऊपर की दीर्घा में जाते हैं तो दरवाजे से घुसते हीं सामने काले रसेदार माध्यम में बनी कृति दिखाई देती  है जो वरिष्ठ कलाकार श्रीधर अईयर की है।  प्राकृतिक माध्यमों से बनी उनकी कृति मन को मोहित करती है।  उन्होंनें अपनी कृति के निर्माण के लिए ख़स , वृक्षों के डाल , रेत आदि जैसे कई प्राकृतिक चीजों का इस्तेमाल किया है। 

प्रदर्शनी के उद्घाटन अवसर पर कंचन चंदर , संजीव सिन्हा, जैसी कई चर्चित हस्तियाँ उपस्थित थी।  प्रदर्शनी का समापन 18 अक्टूबर को होगा।  

चोरी हुई योगिनी की मूर्ति के पेरिस से वापस आने पर राष्ट्रीय संग्रहालय में जश्न

योगिनी की मूर्ति 

उत्तर प्रदेश के एक शांत गाँव में एक पुराने मंदिर से चोरी हुई भारत की जादुई पंथ की महिला प्रतिक - योगिनी की एक अति सुन्दर 10 वीं सदी में निर्मित पत्थर की मूर्ति पेरिस में एक कला संग्रहकर्ता के पास पहुँच गई थी लेकिन अब यह मूर्ति राष्ट्रीय संग्रहालय की बेशकीमती संपत्ति है।  

राष्ट्रीय संग्रहालय, भैंस आकर के वाली महिला देवता - "व्रिशानाना " योगिनी की भव्य मूर्ति के देश में वापस आने के उपलक्ष्य में 19 सितम्बर से 6 अक्तूबर तक अकेली कलाकृति की अब तक की पहली अनूठी प्रदर्शनी का आयोजन कर जश्न मानेगा।  

  

संग्रहालय के महानिदेशक डा. वेणु वि. के अनुसार " पुर्व में भी राष्ट्रीय संग्रहालय विशिष्ट विषयों पर केन्द्रित प्रदर्शनियों का आयोजन करता रहा है , लेकिन ऐसा पहली बार हो रहा है कीयह एक  हीं मूर्ति की प्रदर्शनी होगी। हालाकि यह प्रदर्शनी एक ही वास्तु पर ध्यान केन्द्रित करता है , लेकिन ऐसे कई विषय हैं  आधार प्रदान कर रहे हैं। "

18 दिनों तक चलने वाली इस प्रदर्शनी का उद्घाटन 19 सितम्बर को 3 बजे संस्कृति मंत्री श्रीमती चंद्रेश कुमारी कटोच और विदेश मंत्री श्री सलमान खुर्शीद संयुक्त रूप से संग्रहालय में करेंगे।     

लगभग 400 किलोग्राम वजन की यह मूर्ति उत्तर प्रदेश के बुंदेलखंड क्षेत्र में लोखाड़ी गाँव के मंदिर से चोरी की गई थी।  उसके बाद इसे अवैध रूप से फ्रांस ले जाया गया ।  

इस प्रदर्शनी को राष्ट्रीय संग्रहालय के क्यूरेटर ( पुरातत्व ) जे. ई. डावसन और राष्ट्रीय संग्रहालय संसथान के डीन अनुप पाण्डेय ने संयुक्त रूप से क्युरेट किया है।  

दो कलाकारों की कला प्रदर्शनी नीव में

         विश्व स्तर बहुत तेजी से अपना स्थान बना चुकी दिल्ली की कला संस्था " Niv Arts Center" में कल दिनांक 18 सितम्बर से एक कला प्रदर्शनी की शुरुआत हो रही है। इस प्रदर्शनी में एक जाने-मने वरिष्ठ कलाकार श्री श्रीधर अईयर तथा एक युवा कलाकार अजय नारायण की कृतियाँ एक साथ देखने को मिलेगी। एक महीने तक चलने वाली इस प्रदर्शनी का उद्घाटन कल शाम 6. 30 बजे  तथा समापन अगले महीने की 18 तारीख़ को होगा।

सुमन सिंह की कृति 

      इन दिनों दिल्ली की मशहूर कला दीर्घा " इंडिया हैबिटेट सेंटर " के विजुअल कला दीर्घा में एक सामूहिक कला प्रदर्शनी चल रही है।    आठ सितम्बर से शुरू हुई इस प्रदर्शनी में बाईस कलाकारों की लगभग ४५ कलाकृतियाँ प्रदर्शित है।   पेंटिंग, प्रिंट , मूर्तिशिल्प के साथ-साथ सेरामिक माध्यम में बनी कृतियाँ आकर्षण का केंद्र है।   कलाकारों में अभिनीत कुमार, चैता बासु जेना, चंद्रकिशोर, किशोर कुमार साहू, सुमन कुमार सिंह, संगीता, सुनील चन्द्र पॉल, विजय चौहान, मयधर साहू के साथ-साथ कई कलाकारों की कृतियाँ मन को छूने वाली है।प्रदर्शनी 12 सितम्बर तक चलेगी।

कला गोष्ठी का आयोजन

           भारत की समकालीन कला  आज अपने उस दौर में है जहाँ  यह कह पाना कठिन है की हम उन्नति की दिशा में जा रहे हैं या पतन की ऒर / यूँ तो हमेशा से हीं कला बाज़ार, राजनीति या कई अन्य चीजें कला को प्रत्यक्ष या अप्रत्यक्ष रूप से प्रभावित करती रही है पर आज के युग में इसका प्रभाव बहुत ज्यादा देखने को मिल रहा है / ऐसे में कलाकार क्या करे ? जब यह कहा जाता है कि आज भारतीय कलाकार स्वतंत्र है, उसे अभिव्यक्ति की स्वतंत्रता  प्राप्त है पर क्या वह सही रूप में स्वतंत्र है ?

गोष्ठी के मुख्य वक्ता गण  तथा संबोधित करते श्री वेद प्रकाश भारद्वाज 

          इन्हीं गंभीर विषयों को चर्चा का विषय बनाया गया आर्ट ऑफ़ बिहार द्वारा एक कला गोष्ठी में / विषय था "  भारतीय समकालीन कला की चुनौतियाँ "  / AOB के दिल्ली स्थित कार्यालय में १ सितम्बर को आयोजित इस गोष्ठी में कई कलाकारों की मौजूदगी में तीन मुख्य वक्ता , वरिष्ठ कला समीक्षक तथा कला मर्मज्ञों ने अपने विचार रखे  / वरिष्ठ कलाकार एवं कला के जानकर पटना श्री अनिल कुमार सिन्हा ने इस कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता करते हुए अपने विचार रखे / वरिष्ठ कलाकर एवं कला समीक्षक श्री वेद प्रकाश भरद्वाज ने अपने बहुमूल्य वचनों से कलाकारों को अवगत कराते हुए कला जगत में व्यवसायवाद पर विशेष रूप से प्रकाश डाला /  वहीँ श्री सुमन सिंह ने इस विषय पर अपने लेख पढ़े / उन्होंने बिहार के कला इतिहास की व्याख्या करते हुए समकालीन कला सन्दर्भों पर प्रकाश डाला /

गोष्ठी में उपस्थित कलाकार 

           कलाकारों की ऒर से रविन्द्र दास, भुनेश्वर भास्कर, रागिनी सिन्हा, सुनील कुमार, दिनेश कुमार राम ने भी अपने विचार रखे / भुनेश्वर भास्कर ने कला क्षेत्र में राजनीतिक प्रभाव को कला की दिशा तय करने का एक बड़ा कारक बताया /

           

           सभा के अंत में आर्ट ऑफ़ बिहार के मुखिया एवं संपादक राजेश चन्द ने धन्यवाद् ज्ञापन किया तथा कलाकारों एवं कला प्रेमियों से इस मुहीम में सहयोग की अपील की /    

सूरज कुमार काशी की प्रदर्शनी मुंबई में

                      बिहार के युवा कलाकार सूरज कुमार काशी की सामूहिक कला प्रदर्शनी इन दिनों मुंबई की जानी-मानी कला दीर्घा "   ताऊ आर्ट गैलरी"   में चल रही है / "बियोंड द कैनवास "   नाम से आयोजित इस प्रदर्शनी को संयुक्त रूप से संचालित किया है कल्पना शाह तथा सपना कर ने / इस प्रदर्शनी में देश के कई जाने-माने कलाकारों की अलग-अलग माध्यमों में बनी कृतियाँ  हैं जिनमें  सूरज कुमार काशी के अलावा अली अकबर मेहता , अरुनान्शु चौधरी , गोगी सरोज पाल , हिम्मत शाह , ज्योतिर्मय डे , परेश मैती , रामेश्वर बरूटा , सतीश गुजराल , सीमा कोहली जैसे 34 कलाकारों की कृतियाँ प्रदर्शित की गई है /  22 अगस्त से शुरू इस प्रदर्शनी का समापन 10 सितम्बर को होगा /

" विभूति " एक सामूहिक कला प्रदर्शनी 27 से

उमेश प्रसाद की कृति 

                 "   विभूति ", यह उस सामूहिक कला प्रदर्शनी का नाम है जिसका उद्घाटन कल यानि 27 जुलाई को दिल्ली के इंडिया हेबिटेट सेंटर में होने जा रहा है /  विजुअल आर्ट गैलरी में आयोजित होने वाली इस प्रदर्शनी में कुल आठ कलाकारों की कृतियाँ प्रदर्शित की जाएगी /   यह प्रदर्शनी कलर कोरिडोर द्वारा आयोजित की जा रही है जो इस महीने की 31 तारीख तक चलेगी /   उमेश प्रसाद के अलावा अनिल कुमार गोस्वामी, कुमार गौरव , रविन्द्र तोमर , उमाशंकर शाह , डा सीमा शर्मा शाह , वी नागदास तथा हरिबाबू की कृति इस प्रदर्शनी की शोभा बढ़ाएंगे /
