बिहार के हस्तशिल्प पर सेमिनार

स्लाइड शो द्वारा  अर्पणा कौर अपनी बातों को रखते हुए

          नई दिल्ली, 22 नवम्बर 2011 , आज प्रगति मैदान, नई दिल्ली के हौल न. 8 के सभागार में उपेन्द्र महारथी अनुसंधान संस्थान , पटना द्वारा एक सेमिनार का आयोजन किया गया, विषय था " बिहार का हस्तशिल्प " / इस सेमिनार में प्रतिष्ठित कला समीक्षक विनोद भरद्वाज, चर्चित मूर्तिकार अमरेश कुमार, सुप्रसिद्ध चक्षुस कलाकार अर्पणा कौर एवं युवा चित्रकार भुनेश्वर भास्कर ने उक्त विषय पर अपने विचार रखे / सेमिनार में स्लाइड शो द्वारा भी बिहार की हस्तशिल्प को प्रदर्शित किया गया /

"हार्ट टू हार्डवेयर "

          युवा कलाकारों की अगर हम बात करे तो एक बहुत ही प्रभावशाली कलाकार है कौशलेश कुमार   / इनकी एकल चित्र प्रदर्शनी "हार्ट टू हार्डवेयर " त्रिवेणी कला दीर्घा , नई दिल्ली में 24  नवम्बर से होने जा रही है / 4 दिसंबर तक चलने वाली इस प्रदर्शनी का उद्घाटन पद्मश्री से सम्मानित, जाने-माने वरिष्ठ कला समीक्षक श्री केशव मल्लिक करेंगे / कला एवं शिल्प महाविद्यालय, लखनऊ से M .V . A  .   की डिग्री प्राप्त कौशलेश ने इस प्रदर्शनी को इस महाविद्यालय के 100 वे वर्ष पूरा होने पर समर्पित किया है /

          कौशलेश ने विगत दिनों इस प्रदर्शनी का पुवालोकन एवं कैटलौग का लोकार्पण अपने जन्म स्थान  "आरा " के इन्द्रलोक उत्सव  भवन में किया / इस कार्यक्रम में मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में श्री राम बिहाल गुंजन के अलावा कई गणमान्य व्यक्ति उपस्थित थे /

आरा में कैटलौग का लोकार्पण

           आरा में जन्मे कौशलेश ने कला की शिक्षा B .F . A . कशी हिन्दू विश्वविद्द्यालय तथा M . V . A .  कला एवं शिल्प महाविद्द्यालय, लखनऊ से प्राप्त की है / अमूर्त आकारों एवं बहुत ही हलके रंगों के प्रयोग से बने इनके चित्र एक मायावी एहसास दिलाती है / मिश्रित माध्यम में बने इनके चित्रों में एक सुकून है, रंगों में अजीब सी मुलायमता है जो आखों को सुखद एहसास दिलाती है /

           प्रदर्शनी के कैटलौग में वरिष्ठ कला समीक्षक श्री केशव मल्लिक ने अपनी साक्षा लिखी है जोइस प्रकार है :- 

HEART TO HARDWARE

           Something with may at pinch be named Zen peace appears to pervade the mixed media on canvas works of Kaushlesh Kumar of Ara, Bihar (India). While Many of the objects represented in his picture space are workaday, or commonplace, he tackles them in such a manner that they become tamed, not the normal brusque hardware of a savagely industrial world. So that if we perforce have to live in a useful but heartless environment, the artist tries to take the corroding acid out of it.

           The work is distinguished by the old time Japanese simplicity of form. The execution is commendable enough, with soft slate or other understated hues to most of the compositions. Among these I would name the School & Untitled series as affording balm to city-sore eyes.

           The painter’s work combines new methods with the spirit of suave, traditional art, and the results can be thus rewarding. There is hardly any work in the show which fails to elicit some interest. And this without being `modern’ or `traditional’.

           Finally, over here is observed the beginning of a career prompted by the heart… that is say art… and if one wishes the painter anything, it is of course that his heart remains sound; that his health of spirit stands by him till the last. Admittedly a difficult proposition in these times. But what else can we humans do but strongly wish!
